QEP, Qualitas Private Equity

QEP began as a private equity firm managing a fund of €150 million to invest in buy-outs and growth capital in Spain. Its historical portfolio includes seven companies. Following a number of successful exits from these portfolio companies, Qualitas currently manages three remaining companies.

In 2006, QEP started its activity in renewable energies with an investment in Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV). In 2008, following the investment by General Electric Energy Financial Services and Landon Corporation in FRV, QEP created its Renewable Energy practice, in order to monitor FRV, and to actively support the business development and strategy definition of the company.

Through FRV, QEP has developed operations in the photovoltaic and concentrated solar power sectors worth over €1 billion in Europe and the United States, helping FRV become one of the leading independent solar energy producers in the world.
